2012 Membership
Want to be a member of the NYCBA colony? It is easy to join and the benefits are many. Besides meeting friendly fellow beekeepers (and aspiring beekeepers), we will offer newsletters, monthly meetings with guest speakers on a variety of interesting bee-related topics, hands-on workshops in season, beekeeping courses, workshops, and social functions. We even have a centrifuge for you to use free of charge by the time you gather your first sweet harvest in the summer of 2012. Aside from all of this, we are looking to build up a beekeeping lending library to share, a mentoring program, and we will be matching beekeepers without a place to keep their bees up with people who want to have bees, have a place, but do not wish to maintain the hives. In short, there is something for everyone at the NYCBA, and we welcome all people who share a love of and for honeybees. All are welcome. How sweet it is. Want to volunteer your skills? Even better. Write to us and tell us how you can help.
We ask that people contribute $20.00 for the 2012 membership, to help cover the costs of space rental and shared equipment, materials, and web hosting. If this is a financial hardship for you, please communicate this to us and we will figure out some way to work something out with you to bring you on board. In short, we want you to join, we want you to be part of our community, and we won’t let the small matter of $20.00 keep us apart! ALL are welcome!
